Any reserved seats not checked in 10 minutes prior to departure may be released for resale.
On our dinner train, guests may reserve seats on either the Vista Dome, Gourmet Express or Silverado Grill railcars. Each railcar, with its own kitchen, unique menu, and atmosphere, might better be thought of as a separate restaurant, each with fabulous food. Award-winning Executive Chef, Kelly Macdonald uses only the freshest seasonal ingredients, earth friendly produce, humanely raised meats and line caught fish to prepare a dinner that equals the best restaurants of Napa Valley. A wide selection of entrees are available, and we are happy to accomodate specific dietary needs with advance notice.
During Summer and Spring the long, warm, California twighlight means that the vineyard views of the Napa Valley are bathed in beautiful golden sunlight for most of your journey. Or join us in the Fall and the Winter, when the train departs at sunset, and experience the romance and adventure of an antique train traveling through the dark, Napa Valley night.
Vista Dome Dinner
Our 1947 Pullman domed rail car provides our most private dining experience. Your meal begins with a complimentary glass of California sparkling wine and continues with a four course lunch of your choice. The Vista Dome Car is an elevated observation style dining car expertly refurbished using Honduran Mahogany paneling and brass accents.

Gourmet Dinner
These expertly refurbished 1915-1917 Pullman Cars create an atmosphere conducive to relaxation and enjoyment. Meals, crafted by Executive Chef Kelly Macdonald, are prepared in a specially fabricated kitchen car located immediately adjacent to each dining area. As with all our menu choices, the meals are freshly prepared on the train using environmentally responsible ingredients, humanely raised, hormone free meats and fresh, line caught fish.

Silverado Car for Dinner
The newest Rail car, the Silverado, was refurbished and put on line in 1998. Decorated in a rustic style reminiscent of the old west, this Rail car has quickly become a favorite with its casual non air-conditioned atmosphere and sliding windows to capitalize on the wonderful moderate climate of the Napa Valley. Only the train fare is prepaid in the Silverado and during lunch, meals are ordered off of a menu. You can eat as much or as little as you like, and pay as you go. In the Silverado car, the view takes precedence. This is our low cost option.
