It’s Back to School?

In less than two weeks, at least one Napa Valley school will open its doors to welcome back its new and returning students. Five days later, most of the other schools will follow.

Did I blink? Is summer over? Are the long, hot, dog days, dog gone? Sadly, the answer is yes; and happily, NO! It is time to zestfully, and hardily, cram every last bit of lazy summer afternoon happiness into every day left of this season.

And, (of course) the Wine Train is here to help you celebrate. Take advantage of Family Date Night on Sunday, August 9. Parents can quietly hold hands and enjoy the late sunset in the luxurious Gourmet lounge and dining cars while your children keep our professional day care person busy in the western-themed Silverado car. The children's rail car is complete with games, movies, and a special meal including sundaes!

There will be no games for the adults to play, no sticky fingers to wipe, no incessant questions to answer (unless they are from your partner) and no tearful child ready to leave the restaurant while your dinner goes stone cold!
