Putting the Wow in Pow-Wow

A small group of people from Napa traveled to Miami last week to present the finest points of visiting the world-famous Napa Valley at the international travel trade show: Pow-Wow. International Pow-wow is an appointment-based tradeshow where worldwide tour operators and media converge to discover America and everything it has to offer global travelers. California sent a large delegation of merchants and destination specialists from San Diego to Sacramento.
It was an amazing journey. I learned a great deal about what is happening in the tour and travel markets. I met with our current buyers, new buyers interested in bringing groups and individual travelers to Napa, hob-nobbed with the media, and stayed out late to take part in the various extravaganzas.

The Napa delegation met with almost 90 appointments, representing more than 25 countries, in three days. We learned what is happening in these individual countries and ways we can work together. There wasn’t a dull moment in our booth. The buyers were extremely serious about ways in which we can all work together. The media also stopped by to conduct interviews and learn more about Napa Valley’s offerings.

I was wowed by Pow-Wow, and I think the international tour operators are excited about Napa.
