Fireworks, Weddings, and Cheers!

I thought June was fun, but July started off with a real bang for the Napa Valley Wine Train. We had two elopements, the historic Friday evening train to St. Helena’s Cheers! Event, and enjoyed fantastic fireworks at Yountville.
The Friday train to St. Helena was an amazing experience, not just for the locals who were thrilled to be met at the St. Helena station by a cheering crowd; but also for a number of visitors who booked the train because it sounded like fun. And, it was!
The fireworks train is always a huge hit. What better way to watch Napa Valley celebrate the nation’s birthday than to skip the parking, get a great meal on the train, and relax comfortably in plush seats as the train parks outside Yountville for their pyrotechnic display?
We also had the pleasure of celebrating two small weddings on the lunch train this month! Both couples were from Texas, and both were just the Bride and Groom, Minister and Diane Schwitalla, our Special Events Manager. Each couple inspired cheers, applause and congratulations as they passed through the rail cars on the way to the Vista Dome, where they enjoyed their first meal together as husband and wife.
