Spring into action on board the Napa Valley Wine Train
Spring has sprung. I am noticing bud-break in the vineyards. This time of year always reminds me to dust off the cob webs from my bicycle as I pull it out of winter dormancy. When the sun is beaming, I enjoy cycling through the vineyards. The Napa Valley is so picturesque for a wonderful bicycle ride.
In supporting strong communities, the Napa Valley Wine Train and Napa County Bicycle Coalition have created the first annual "Ride, Rail and Relax" on Sunday, April 26, 2009. This is a truly unique experience. The day will begin with a professionally guided bicycle tour on the Silverado Trail (approximately 16 miles). Guests will end up at the Napa Valley Wine Train's Rutherford Station (across from Rutherford Grill) where they will board a special train for a chartered one-way ride back to Napa. Guests will enjoy the scenery of the Napa Valley, while being indulged by Executive Chef, Kelly Macdonald’s wine country picnic lunch.
Please join us in this adventure. This event is the kick-off to Bike to Work month. Space is limited to reserve tickets. Contact Wendy Hilberman at wendy@napabike.org or 707-486-5648.
