How about a June Snow Day?
Hell didn’t freeze over when the St. Helena City Council recently announced they were welcoming (on a trial basis) passengers off the Napa Valley Wine Train. However, Yountville was put in a temporary freeze just days later when photographers, stylists, and models descended upon the Train’s Yountville Station to shoot a holiday catalog.

Yountville Station Snow in June
Within the last two weeks, we have had masked bandits on horseback rob the train; a historic accord develop where stanch opposition once lived; a national catalog company use the Train as a back drop for their important holiday gift guide; filming for a Bay Area television show, and coming right up – Chef Kelly’s hands-on demonstration at the downtown Napa Chef’s Market (June 18).
There’s more actually. We have a new comedy on the train this Friday night: “trainplays” (I had a sneak preview and love them!); and just in time for Father’s Day beer and Mac Daddy’s ribs in the Silverado Car.
And that is just June. I
feel a little bit like a child opening Christmas presents, each week we have something REALLY fun, diverse and interesting. Horses and gun fire one week, snow scapes in June the next. Perhaps, if you need a little excitement in your life, wander down to the station . . . Who knows what will be happening next.
