More New Events and Activities at the Wine Train
By Melodie Hilton Director of Marketing and Public Relations
It is our 20th year and yet it feels like there are so many new things going on at the Wine Train. Here are a couple of the new events happening soon (so mark your calendars!)
If you weren't already aware we have a NEW Murder Mystery debuting this month (first one: Thurs., Sept. 3). It is about detectives, and sounds fun. We have shelved the historical mystery for probably the rest of the year (depending upon demand). Yes, we are still encouraging people to dress up (probably 20's flapper, gangster, and detective plaid -- but, no derringers in the décolletage).
Hopefully, you are planning on coming to our 20th birthday dinner on Saturday, Sept. 19. Four fabulous local winemakers are joining us to create a memorable experience. If you rode on the very first train, we want to see you again! $15 off Gourmet seating if booked by Sept. 5.
Friday, Oct. 2, we are going to be having a book signing in the station. Author Alan Jacobson’s newest novel, “Crush,” will be released this month and he will be signing his books and riding the train that night. His book is a detective novel set in the Napa Valley and (of course) we have the new detective murder mystery that night! I am reading a pre-release of his book now. And no, I will not spoil the ending. The book signing is free, Murder Mystery with guest author? $135 per person.
I am planning on attending two of these events myself. I hope I see you there.
