News from the Wine Shop
Greetings and Salutations fellow Napans. Many of you I already know but, allow me to introduce myself to those of you that I don’t. My name is Ryan Graham, and I am the Wine Director at the Napa Valley Wine Train. I joined the Napa Valley Wine Train a little over six months ago, although some of you may know me from my years spent at Back Room Wines, or Bistro Don Giovanni.
I’d like to take just a few moments to discuss with you some of the exciting and dynamic things we have going on with our wine program at the Napa Valley Wine Train. Since taking over this position, I have expanded the selection of wines available in the Wine Emporium in the Wine Train Station at 1275 McKinstry Street to include over 400 selections. While we remain California focused, we now offer wonderful wines from all over the world, to please all palates, and budgets. We strive to offer an eclectic selection of limited production artisanal wines in all price categories.
Our focus here is not only on quality wine, but knowledgeable and friendly service. Need a great California Grenache for your next wine tasting group? We currently have twelve in stock to choose from. How about some delicious inexpensive German Riesling to enjoy with spicy Thai food tonight? You’ll find several of those on our shelves as well. If you need a great bottle of tiny production Napa Cabernet for a gift we’re happy to recommend one from our extensive selection for you as well.
We are centrally located between First and Soscol, right across from the new Westin and down the street from the Oxbow Market. Please come in and say hello, and check out our fine selection. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Not only are our prices very fair, but to thank our local neighbors for coming in this fall, I’d like to offer all Napa County residents an additional 10% off their purchase. I’m looking forward to seeing you soon.
Cheers!
Ryan Graham
