Beginning Monday, March 15, First Street between Soscol Avenue and McKinstry Street will be closed to vehicle traffic during the raising of the rail crossing and other work for the Napa River-Napa Creek Flood Protection Project. Detour routes are posted. Pedestrian access will be maintained along First Street throughout the vehicle detour. First Street is scheduled to re-open for vehicle traffic on July 31. To improve traffic circulation on the detour route during this work, the City of Napa has activated a new traffic signal at the intersection of Soscol and McKinstry.
