Down the Line

Quattro Vino Tours are an indulgence start to finish. Elegant interiors. Plush velvet. Gleaming brass. Sleek fixtures. Smooth marble. The train car, rattling at an easy pace through extraordinary Napa countryside. Sweeping rows of vines, some there since 1868, whisper stories. By now you’ll have more than a few stories of your own to tell. By the time you come to the end of the line, you don’t want your journey to end.

But in a way it doesn’t. Because it’s a trip you’ll never forget.

The Winery – Silverado Vineyards

The climbing drive up to the winery, lined with olive trees, surrounded by oak and pine, signals you’ve arrived somewhere special. The view from the stone terrace is legendary and so are the wines. Wines made from fruit grown in vineyards planted by Napa pioneers between 1865 and 1895. Learn about this storied estate and historic terroir, established in 1981 by Ron and Diane Miller. From the beautiful collection of Belle Epoch Posters and early California Plein Air originals to sweeping views of the Stags Leap District, accompanied by a selection of rare and small production Silverado Vineyard wines.

The Menu

The setting on the Napa Valley Wine Train is luxurious and elegant. And your second course is equally as decadent: asparagus bisque with white truffle oil and aged parmesan and organic Sonoma spring greens.

The Winery – Whitehall Lane Winery & Vineyards

A crisp Bordeaux-style glass of Sauvignon Blanc in a secluded Tuscan-inspired garden. A short walk through the beautiful estate vineyard. Expert insight on how vines are pruned and trellised and see if you can tell the difference between Merlot and Cabernet Franc vines. A flight of world-class wines in an intimate barrel room and the winery’s crush pad. What began as one vision, one vineyard, is now seven prime Napa Valley vineyards. The Leonardini Family purchased Whitehall Lane Winery & Vineyards in 1993. But the high quality grape vines that produce some of the greatest wines in the world have deep roots reaching back to the mid 1800s.

The Winery – Grgich Hills Estate

Croatian-born founder and winemaker Miljenko “Mike” Grgich has quite a story. Learn about his journey firsthand as you begin your journey. Nestled at the base of the Mayacamus mountains overlooking the winery’s Rutherford vineyard, hear about Grgich’s journey from Communist Yugoslavia as a boy to a winemaking legend, the man behind 1973 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay, selected by shocked French judges as the finest white wine in the world in the 1976 Paris Tasting, a blind tasting of renowned white Burgundies from France and a sampling of new Napa Valley Chardonnays. From beautiful grounds to historic cellars, the story is paired with the coveted Miljenko’s wine flight, elegant limited quantity wines specifically chosen for this exclusive experience. The perfect Napa afternoon.
