Culinary Offerings

Cuisine is an intrinsic part of the Wine Train experience, from elegant fare to fine wine. The Wine Train is primarily a restaurant, and we take pride in the elevated quality of our onboard offerings and the high level of service we deliver.

Inspired By Napa

Our menus highlight the very best of Napa Valley, showcasing fare in sync with the seasons. The Wine Train’s multi-course meals deliver traditional Wine-Country offerings that yield the truest expressions of Napa’s distinctive terroir.

Bounty of the Valley

After menu development, our culinary team sources premium ingredients from our trusted vendor partners to create palate-pleasing dishes. Every concept seeks to celebrate the essence of the region, from prime-grade meat to garden-fresh produce.

Harvest to Table

  • 1. Locally Grown

The Wine Train culinary journey finds its roots in our abundant surroundings — rich Valley soils, sprawling farmland, cascading vines, and neighboring Pacific Coast waters.
  • 2. Regional Vendors

Our Executive Chef and culinary team procure high-quality meat, seafood, produce, and dairy from our local vendor partners, ensuring ultra-fresh ingredients in each and every dish
  • 3. Preparation

Our team prepares the food from scratch each morning in our commissary kitchen. Then, each element is loaded onto the train, where we cook, finish, and sauce each dish to order.
  • 4. Made-to-Order

Each dish is made-to-order and crafted to perfection in our three onboard kitchens. Our largest kitchen, which spans the entire length of a train car, can serve up to 300 people.
  • 5. Plated & Served

Each meal is plated and served by table. Our intricately planned service lets us seamlessly cater to each guest by experience, helping us maintain our high standards.

Crafted With Heart

Executive Chef Rodrigo

Following an ingredient-driven philosophy, our team embraces the daily challenge of crafting unforgettable dishes for every experience while traveling on our route. We aim to surpass guest expectations, serving world-class meals that honor Napa Valley’s culinary reputation while reviving the gilded age of luxury train travel.

Hearty Portions

Flawlessly prepared, our multi-course servings feature generous portions for your lunch or dinner in Napa. Our creations are designed to delight the senses with enticing food that will leave you feeling satisfied.

Dietary Considerations

We take your food sensitivities and preferences seriously, and we serve guests with a range of dietary restrictions and allergies every day. When making your reservation, kindly note your needs, and we’ll happily arrange modifications.

… And the Wine Is Bottled Poetry

Napa Valley is known the world over as a wine-growing region producing prestigious bottles, from sumptuous cabernet sauvignon to finely-balanced chardonnay. But, did you know — there are 16 sub-appellations within Napa Valley? Five of which the Wine Train travels through on every journey — Yountville, St. Helena, Rutherford, Oakville, and Oak Knoll.

With over 400 wineries gracing the Napa region, a significant majority of which are family-owned, Napa Valley stands as a testament to its deep-rooted winemaking heritage. Our wine collection showcases an assortment of both prominent and boutique producers; however, our primary emphasis remains on those wineries that have been nurtured and guided by family traditions. We’ve curated offerings from the Valley, mainly sourcing them from wineries found on our route. As you indulge in a sensory journey onboard, you’ll also catch glimpses of these vineyards just beyond your window.
