The Rail Arts District

Set along the rails of the Napa Valley Wine Train, the Rail Arts District features large-scale murals created by internationally acclaimed artists. The district spans over two miles of murals, sculptures, and landscaping art. Get a close-up look while aboard one of the Wine Train’s experiences, or explore at your own pace as you walk or cycle past the installations. And you’ll definitely want to snap some pics!ons.

Alston Park Upper Ridge Trail

Alston Park isn’t just for hikers. This local gem north of town offers the most beautiful valley views and a sense of calm and stillness. The Alston Park Trail is wide, gentle, and perfect for a quiet walk (and lots of space to take photos).

The charm of the trail is in its simplicity: wide-open hills, golden light, gorgeous grass, and panoramic views of the valley. If you visit just before sunset, you’ll get the most stunning golden-hour light warming the hills and creating the perfect backdrop for all your memories and photos.

di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art

Not too far from us at the Napa Valley Wine Train station, di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art feels almost like a hidden world. Sitting on a 200+ acre property with lakes, meadows, and unique installations, the art center houses a collection focused on Northern California artists

Installations can be found both indoors and out, and the art has a way of interacting with the landscapes, making it a unique spot to explore. It’s an interesting place to visit, and you’ll find yourself in awe, taking pictures of every installation you see.

Napa Riverfront

At first glance, this might seem like just another trail. But the Napa Riverfront is the perfect place to spend a little more time. As you stroll along, you’ll take in scenes from both sides: the beautiful river, and the downtown area of Napa. Starting at the downtown area, the trail ventures off into nature where you can find peace, quiet, and the best views and spots for taking some pictures in the great outdoors, all while being close by the city. It’s the best of both worlds!

Love Lock Bridge

Along the small footbridge towards the Napa Valley Wine Train station and boarding platform, you’ll see symbols of love from couples all over the world at Napa Valley’s very own Love Lock Bridge.

Leave a piece of your heart in Napa while visiting the Wine Train. Bring a lock (or purchase one from our Wine & Gift Shop), write your names, and lock it to the bridge. Toss the key over the bridge or tuck it away for safekeeping. Your memories will stay here forever.

While a special and sweet memory, this charming location’s iron gates, train station, and wildflowers also makes for a great photo-op, alone or with your love.

From hillsides to art exhibits, Napa Valley is full of gorgeous corners that invite you to explore through your own unique lens. So even if you’re here for the wine, you can get the whole experience with a new perspective.
