Grgich Hills Winery Tour

Come visit one of the most personable wineries in Napa Valley for an extraordinary experience and to taste how great wines are made naturally!  Grgich Hills Estate is a family owned and operated  winery dedicated to the art of winemaking and committed to natural winegrowing and sustainability, with 100% estate grown certified organic and Biodynamic® vineyards.  Founder and Winemaker Miljenko "Mike" Grgich, inducted into the Vintner Hall of Fame in 2008, became famous after he crafted the 1973 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay that won the historic 1976 Paris Tasting, besting the top white Burgundies.  On any given day, you may even meet this sprightly and charming legend in person.

With the Grgich Hills option, you'll enjoy a gourmet three course lunch in an elegant dining car as you journey northbound from downtown Napa through the Napa Valley. In Rutherford you'll disembark at Grgich Hills Estate for a one-hour private tour and tasting that includes our Rutherford Vineyard and a behind-the-scenes look at the cellar before ending with a tasting led by one of our wine educators.  You may even meet Mike Grgich himself!  You'll re-board the train for the dessert course in the Wine Train's restored 1915 Pullman Lounge Car as you head back to the Napa Station.

This is a SEATED WITH OTHERS event.  Wine on board the Train is not included.

All of our winery tours require moderate stair climbing and standing for extended periods. We encourage guests who may have difficulty performing these two activities to consider our regular Lunch Packages.
